The Day Treatment Center is an outpatient program under the auspices of VA Behavioral Health Care Line and serves approximately 100 Veterans with an average daily attendance of 35-40. The program is in operation Monday - Friday 9:00A.M. to 3:00P.M.

Mission:

The Day Treatment Center is an outpatient facility whose mission is to assist the veteran to live as independently as possible in his/her community. The emphasis is on helping the veteran to develop the skills necessary for independent community living. Therefore, support, challenge, involvement, structure and feedback are seen as essential ingredients for the growth and development of our veterans.

The funds donated by the VVA for 2004 were used to purchase a new computer for the Veterans to use and for them learn how to access information for their benefit, such as new claims.

Funds donated in the past have been used to purchased new ceramic molds for the ceramic shop. VVA has donated tickets for the Armed Forces Day Luncheon. When we moved to Mt. Hope Ave. the VVA purchased 15 chairs for our group room.

Total Donation by VVA Chapter #20 since inception of the donation is $3,000
